Advanced intramedullary nail cohort

Short summary

In Department of Orthopaedics, OUH we have received new and improved intramedullary nails. The nails have some new features, and with this project we want to monitor and follow the patients post surgery to find out if the improvements results in fewer complications. All patients at Department of Orthopaedics, OUH treated with a femural intramedullary nail, will be asked to participate in this project.

Rationale

To monitor and follow patientes with femural fracture operated with intramedullary nails.

Description of the cohort

Patients at Department of Orthopaedics, OUH treated with a femural intramedullary nail. Patients with locking plates will serve as control group.

Data and biological material

Name, social security number, diagnosis and trauma, information about operation, blod samples, xrays, comorbidity, complications, functional level, general condition and quality of life, work, EQ5D5L, LLTQ and UCLA.
