Eliciting the wisdom of the crowd: Bone Health

Short summary

In the absence of key data needed for multi-criteria based decision support in bone health screening and treatment, the best estimates available for fracture risk and the risk reduction to be expected from a number of options (medication and lifestyle), and their side effect rates, we seek the opinion of relevant experts and other qualified parties in the form of probabilities.

Rationale

In the absence of key data needed for multi-criteria based decision support in bone health screening and treatment, the best estimates available for fracture risk and the risk reduction to be expected from a number of options (medication and lifestyle), and their side effect rates, we seek the opinion of relevant experts and other qualified parties in the form of probabilities.

Description of the cohort

Opinions will be elicited from two groups. A long form of the survey will go to experts (ca 10) in bone health. A shorter form will be mailed to members of a society of both professionals and patients (ca 300) interested in bone health.

Data and biological material

Questionnaire data: Responses to questions regarding the probabilities of various events relevant to bone health and its treatment to a description of what data is collected/will be collected.
