Development and implementation of a client-centered perspective - welfare technology for elderly

Short summary

The project explores elderly citizens' perspective on processes of everyday change when adopting technology as well as the meaning of the citizen's perspective on the process of change when concerned with health professionals' delivery of technology. The research aim is to develop and implement evidence-based and client centred delivery of technology to the elderly.


Description of the cohort

Phase 1: Eight cases of elderly citizens who meet the legal requirements for allocation of technology. 

Phase 2 (planing): 6-8 key informants are chosen to form an expert group.

Phase 4 (evaluation): 10-12 health professionals in communal practice who have implemented the suggested evidence based and client-centered delivery process.   


Data and biological material

Phase 1: Learning - Data from participant observations and narrative interviews exploring the elderly citizen's process of everyday change

Phase 2: Planning - Data from focus group interviews focusing on development of an evidence based and client-centered delivery process of technology to the elderly citizens. 

Phase 3: Implementation - Data from participant observations exploring the implementation of the evidence based and client-centered delivery process.

Phase 4: Evaluation - Data from focus group interviews evaluation the evidence based and client-centered initiative.
