Short summary

The overall goal with LiverPRO is to provide general practitioners with a novel decision support tool to accurately and timely detect advanced liver disease at the first point of contact. Something that is not possible today and which leads to undiagnosed or wrongly diagnosed patients with fatal consequences.

Rationale

Fatty Liver Disease is a leading cause of death and disability worldwide due to untimely diagnosis and treatment. It is referred to as the new diabetes and accounts for more than 1 million deaths per year which makes it one of the key health challenges to address in the coming decades.
