My Personal Health Bank offers a webapplication for accessing and storing of health data for patients and healthcare providers in developing countries and for people on the move. It is currently being tested in Tanzania.
The project consists of development of automatized reporting of anonymous health data from My Personal Health Bank to be used for governments, NGO's etc. The development takes place on My Personal Health Banks demo environment on Microsoft Azure using Power BI.
In Tanzania and other developing countries and for people on the move there is not an accessible overview of the population's health status. For this reason, it is not possible to monitor diagnoses, plan staffing, procurement and health initiatives as well as prevent outbreak of diseases etc.
Therefore, it is of vital importance with the development of a reporting tool where e.g., governments etc. can create reports. An example of a report is the number of patients diagnosed with diabetes in a specific location and age group.
To ensure patient empowerment, the health data used in the reporting tool is anonymized and based on aggregated health data.
The overall aim is to improve healthcare for patients and healthcare providers in developing countries and for people on the move.
The reporting tool is evaluated through feedback from project assistants and professors in Dodoma, Tanzania.
Health data and demographic data (e.g., age, sex, location) stored in our web-application
