This randomized controlled crossover study investigates the effect of 3000 ml of Ringer's lactate solution at high (37°) and low (15°) temperatures on physiological response in healthy adults. We aim to test whether cold fluids, compared to warm fluids, increase blood pressure more profoundly and provide a more sustained increase of blood pressure.
We hypothesize that the administration of cold fluids results in more persistent improvements of hemodynamic parameters compared to body temperature in healthy volunteers.
Healthy volunteers between the age of 18 and 64.
Blood samples, hemodynamic monitoring, temperature, skin perfusion
