The influence of exposure to air pollutants on couple-fecundity is not yet well established. We will estimate fecundability ratios according to levels of air pollutants in quartiles by discrete time survival analysis with 95% confidence intervals and infertility (TTP>12 months or use of infertility treatment) odds ratios by multivariable logistic regression. We will adjust for several potential confounders chosen a priori.
Air pollutants are suggested to have adverse impacts on human reproduction, but the influence of exposure to air pollutants on couple-fecundity is not yet well established. We will investigate the relationship between 10 air pollutants and their association with time to pregnancy (TTP) and infertility in pregnant women from the Danish National Birth Cohort recruited 1996-2002.
Women with planned or partly planned pregnancies ending with a live born infant enrolled in the Danish National Birth Cohort 1996-2002.
Self-reported time-to-pregnancy, use of infertility treatment, socioeconomic status, smoking habits, pre-pregnancy weight and height, parity, level of airpollutants on residential address.
