Development and testing of a Virtual Reality Simulator to learn Focused Lung Ultrasound
Short summary
Based on a systematic review about lung ultrasound training and a delphi study we want to investigate the evidence regarding different training modalities and delevop a Virtual Reality Simulator. In the process the simulator will be validated and the effect of ultrasound as a supplement to the clinical evaluation will evaluated. Lately we want to investigate the clinical impact of the simulator in a randomized clinical trial.
Rationale
The use of focused lung ultrasound is increasing among different healthcare professionals but the are no national or internaional requirements to certification or education.
Description of the cohort
Physicians attending an ultrasound course i the Simulation centre of Region of Southern Denmark will be included in the study and the use of focused lung ultrasound in the clinic will be evaluated.
