BALanSE - development of an activity- and resource-oriented palliative rehabilitation intervention in people with and after cancer in a municipal setting

Short summary

This feasibility study concerns the development and evaluation of an activity- and resource-oriented palliative rehabilitation intervention in people with and after cancer in a municipal setting. The study investigates aspects of processes concerning intervention delivery, mechanisms of impact and context, acceptability, implementation and possible outcome measures. The study includes research based measures to support social equity during the cancer trajectory.


Rationale

People with and after cancer experience needs related to sustainment of functioning and relief from distress to live the everyday life they want and need to. The aim of the feasibility study is to test an activity- and resource-oriented palliative rehabilitation intervention in a municipal setting supporting balance in everyday activities and health-related quality of life in people with and after cancer.
