National cohort study (retrospective) of children under the age of 18 that presented or was diagnosed/treated for nephrolitiasis in 2012-2022.

Rationale

Nephrolithiasis in children is a relatively rare condition, but the incidence is rising. diagnosis and treatment is complex and the treatment course often takes years as the causes can be metabolic or anatomic. The project serves to gain an overview of causes og stone formation, treatment modalities and treatment result.

Description of the cohort

Danish children under the age of 18 diagnosed and treated for kidney stone in 2012-2022.

Data and biological material

Chart review (demographics, diagnosis, treatments, complications). and imaging results.
