CAVE registration of allergies and side effects of medicine in the Electronic patient record COSMIC.

Short summary

Patients were successively enrolled in the study and for all patients patient informations on allergies from the patients, the CAVE - module in the EPR COSMIC, the referrals of the general practitioners (from 01.01.16 to patient admission) and the drug ordninances in the Common Electronic Medical Card were compared.


Rationale

The inadequate exchange of data between hospitals and generals practitioners leads to unwanted provokation tests. These tests can be used to delete allergy and/or drug intolerance CAVE.


Description of the cohort

1273 patients who were admitted to the emergency derpartment at hospital Sønderjylland - Sønderborg. The patient inclusion took place on differant dates. Using the spotlight apoproach all patients who were admitted to the hospital 08.15 on the specified days were included.


Data and biological material

Only data from the Electronic Patient Record were used.
