The Head and Neck Cancer (HNC) fast-track program in the Region of Southern Denmark

Short summary

The Board of Health have introduced fast-track programs with the purpose of reducing waiting time, secure high-quality treatment and thus increase survival for Danish cancer patients. The Danish fast-track program for HNC is a solution that takes care of the patient from the initial GP-suspicion to start of treatment.


Rationale

The purpose of the study is to monitor the Head and Neck Cancer fast-track program in the Region of Southern Denmark in order to secure high quality and strict timelines.


Description of the cohort

All patients with a course in the Head and Neck Cancer fast-track program at Odense University Hospital. Relevant data will be collected from the Electronic Patient Journal (Cosmic)


Data and biological material

Data from Cosmic (dates of referral and attendance, malign or benign diagnosis, treatment, days from the initial GP-suspicion to start of treatment ect.)
