Variation in accommodative convergence to accommodation ratio.

Short summary

Validation of a new measuring method of accommodative convergence to accommodation ratio (AC/A ratio). The study is a part of the larger CONTROL project on orthokeratology lenses for the treatment of myopia in Danish children. The repeatability of AC/A ratio will be evaluated by coefficient of repeatability. Further, it will be investigated if AC/A ratio is a predictor of myopia progression and treatment efficacy by orthokeratology lenses.

Rationale

AC/A ratio is altered in myopic children compared to emmetropic children. Therefore, AC/A ratio might by a predictor of myopia progression.

Description of the cohort

Myopic children aged 6 to 17 years.

Data and biological material

Age, gender, refraction, axial length, AC/A-ratio.
