Short summary
A Danish kohorte of patients with injury to brachial plexus
Rationale
Odense University Hospital is responsible for the treatment of Plexus Brachialis injuries in Denmark. Depending on the type and severity of the injury, treatment can be conservative og surgical.
Description of the cohort
We expect approximately 30-50 adult injuries a years and 30-70 birth palsies. The adults who are treated with surgery are followed for a minimum of 5-10 years depending on the type of the injury and children are followed up to the age of 15. Patients with minor injuries may be discontinued when the function has normalized.
Data and biological material
General patient data and baseline data on injury type and injury mechanism are collected. In addition, at least 2 PROMs and measures of skin sensitivity and muscle strength (MRC scale) over 40-45 muscles.
