Focused thoracic ultrasound for detection and monitoring of pneumothorax in the two-hour observational periode after CT-guided biopsy
Short summary
The aim of the study is to explore the use of ultrasound following CT-guided lung biopsy, and to investigate the role of ultrasound for diagnosing pneumothorax and for monitoring pneumothorax two hours after the biopsy.
Rationale
Ultrasound has a high diagnostic accuracy for pneumothorax, however very little is known about the role of ultrasound following lung biopsy and for the monitoring og the dynamic changes of pneumothorax.
Description of the cohort
Patients undergoing CT-guided percutaneous lung biopsy at the department of radiology, Odense University Hospital.
