Many statistical methods are used in health research even in situtations were some of the model assumptions are either not fulfilled, or where it is impossible to check some of the assumptions, and it hence is unknown if they hold. In this study we perform statistical simulations to investigate the robustness of such methods, to ensure the validity of their results, when applied in health research.
