Short summary

The training of colposcopy in Denmark is very limited. We want to explore if online education of residents in gynecology can improve their colposcopy skills. The participants will be tested before and after participating in the online class. We expect to find that the participants have improved their ability to identify cervix dysplasia after participating in the online class.

Rationale

Background:

The education in colposcopy in Denmark (DK) is very limited as it only consist of 1 hour of theory during the time of residency in gynecology and in most cases "see one do one" in the clinic. There is no systematic colposcopy training in DK and no certification of doctors or quality assurance of the work done.

The aim:

To find out if online education can improve the colposcopy skills among residents (in gynecology) rated as their ability to find the most severe grade of cervix dysplasia by looking at photos from colposcopy.

Description of the cohort

Residents in gynecology from all over Denmark who have been invited/participating in the mandatory course "Oncogynecology" in november 2021

Data and biological material

Photos from the DYsis colposcope (collected in the ambulatorium of gynecology in OUH, dept. Svendborg, from october 2021 to march 2022). The patients have been informed and have given their written consent for the fotos being used). The photos will be used in a questionaire that is being sent to the participant (the residents) before and after the intervention (online class), where they are asked to define dysplasia/changes on the cervical surface. Their individual results will be compared afterwards.
