Twelve patients (six males and six females) had blood samples taken every week for eight weeks for estimatione of within subject biological variation
Knowledge of within subject biological variation is important when monitoring disease activity by biochemical quantities in order to evaluate the chance whether an observed difference in results over time might be due to random variations or must be considered a "real" change.
Twelve patients (six males and six females) with stable rheumatoid arthritis.
