Clinical stage of lung cancer depending on CT scanningactivity

Short summary

The average number of performed CT scannings in Denmark have been increasing within the last years. An increase in the tumber of CT scannings performed could theoretically increase the number of early stage lung cancer being incidentally identified. In the project we will assess whether there is an increase in the number of early stage lung cancer and whether this can be linked to the increased CT activity

Rationale

To assess whether there is an increased number of patients being diagnosed with early stage lung cancer and whether this may be linked to an increased CT activity.

Description of the cohort

Patients diagnosed with early (I) or late (IV) stage lung cancer at the Department of Respiratory Medicine, OUH

Data and biological material

Data from Electronic Patient Journal system and Danish Lung Cancer Registry
