Quality improvement project of patients with frequent changes of double J stent or nephrostomy.

Short summary

Quality improvement project that characterizes patients with frequent changes of double J stent or nephrostomy caused by ureteral stricture based on retrospective patient journal data from 2020 to 2023.

Rationale

It is hypothesized that patients may benefit from another primary treatment for their ureteral strciture, but there are no current guidelines or indications for another primary treatment.

The aim of the study is to identify patient factors that can lead to an MDT conference discussing new primary treatment for a patient with frequent changes.

Description of the cohort

Patients with diagnosis and/or operation codes that involve ureteral stricutre and/or change of double J stent or nephrostomy from 1/1-2020 - 31/12-2022.

Data and biological material

Data from the patient journal via EPJ Syd or Cosmic Arkiv.
