GAstro-intestinal Imaging Database
Short summary
In 2019 a large trial examining screening participants using Camera Capsule Endoscopy (CCE) will be launched. All the material gathered from this trial will be collected in this database, which will help form the foundation of CCE research in years to come. The database will remain after the completion of the trial, and will in time enable researchers to follow the established cohort.
Description of the cohort
The cohort will consist of a randomized segment of the Danish national Colorectal Cancer Screening Program. Participants will consists of eligible citizens from the Region of Southern Denmark. They will be between 50 and 74 years of age, and both genders are invited equally.
Data and biological material
The data will in part consist of images and videos from the capsule endoscopies, demographic information, pathology results and histological data from the patient record.
